here comes the update on my trip to Jeju, Korea...
after our photo session with UCSI choir in uni...with Dean and head of school...
reached KLIA around 9pm..seen here are UCSI choir and Dithyrambic Singers..
Eddy pushing our trolley..sitting infront was ling...well just incase u were wondering..due to the raging H1N1 influenza..we were asked to wear mask once we reached the airport..and to have them on all the time til we reach Jeju..but of coz...in the end we just took it away coz we need to eat...
on the transit train after checking in our luggage..
on the walkalator..
waiting area...our flight was slightly delayed..
at first i couldnt sleep on the plane...messed around and made much noise with Karen..but in the end went back to my seat and settled down...and i slept...woke up hour later...
breakfast was served at 5 something korea time..approximately 4 something in Msia's time zone..liked the breakfast..although the hashbrown was soggy..hahahah but acceptable..
breakfasting on the plane.my first time...=)
touched down in Incheon International Airport, Korea at 7am plus...
laoshi..
the fashionable duo...
waiting and getting our luggage...
silly pic of dear..
Ms Choi's studio...almost half of her students were on this trip..hahah
freshened up after a long 7 hour flight..
then we we brought to some tourist attraction before going to Gimpo airport(domestic airport).....the area where the president stays...
the mountain that looked like the head of a dragon..
clar, rachel, yaotiao and doris
doris, carmen and i
this fella...hmmmm i tell you...he's always struck by hunger..and he practically left me alone there and went to buy food...melon ice cream...but its nice though..ahahha
sammy, angela, chloe, ling, yennie and i
yennie and i with two korean policeman..well practically their job scope require them to dress in sports attire and stand there all day long...waiting to take pics with tourists...hahaha..well no mocking intentions..but just that its really a good way to promote the local police
this guy here just wont smile...and i dunno why...
then we went for lunch..our very first korean meal..i enjoyed all the korean food throughout our stay there...high adaptation skills i guess..ahha
i duno what this is called..but the pot's really hot..and u just gotta mix the rice and the ingredients in it and may put in some soy sauce for taste...and there you have it..
after lunch we were sent to Gimpo airport...transitting over to Jeju...
checking in luggage
while waiting for our flight...flight got delayed due to unsatisfactory weather...
on the plane..sitting next to me was Karen...
thats Jeju Island...
they have some lady to direct the traffic and they are all dressed in red suits with matching hats and gloves...how cute..=)
we were then brought to some tourist attraction before going to attend the opening ceremony of Jeju International Choral Festival
local delicacies...cactus toffee in the making..
posing with some local iconic statue...hahaha
this particular place is famous for the rocks that looked like the shape of a dragon...
speaking of artistic posing of laoshi...haha
eddy, rachel, ling and samuel...see the gal behind??cute couple they are...wearing matching outfits from clothes to sneakers..and the bf was directing the gf to pose while he take pics of her..haha how sweet is that...
place that we had our dinner...
side dishes...we had some macaroni and cheese with patatoes, some pickled seaweed, pickled onions, pickled patatoes and last but not least, the must have in korean meals, KIMCHI....i LOVE kimchi..hahah
other than the pot of soup and veges...we got this big plate of thinly sliced pork..haha
and we had multigrained poridge too...me likey...=)
the shop that we had dinner at...
bus brought us to this venue where the opening ceremony were held...and throughout the entire ceremony..most of us were dead tired from the long flight and all the other activities..we actually dozed off..well coz we couldnt understand what they said coz they were giving speeches in Korean..except for the last guy, a representative from Singapore..who gave his speech in English...hmmm i tried so hard to stay awake throughout the whole ceremony..only dozed off for less than 5mins..hahaha
the ceremony lasted for less than 2 hours..then we were brought to the SunRinJi resort..the journey there took about an hour..and all of us slept throughout...
and most of us seriously did not have any idea how was the surrounding area of the place we stayed..lil did we know that we'll be stuck there for quite some time..
room of four sharing...my roomies were ling, laiyee and chloe...
supper for the 1st night there...there is a mini mart in the main lobby building, a distance away from the resort building that we were staying..due to its remote-ness from the town...so throughout our stay there..the mini mart is our ONLY shopping destination..and the only place we could buy food...
well thats all for part 1...
till the next update...
loves,
toodles..
happy birthday to me...
